Manager - Operations & Logistics

Position Overview:

The Operations and Logistics Manager will oversee the logistics, supply chain, and operational processes within the company, ensuring that goods and services are efficiently delivered from suppliers to customers.

This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics systems, and the ability to optimize processes for cost reduction, performance improvement, and customer satisfaction.

The Operations and Logistics Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of products while meeting business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Logistics Management: Oversee and optimize all aspects of the logistics and supply chain, including transportation, inventory management, warehousing, and order fulfillment to ensure the efficient flow of goods.

- Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency and effectiveness across logistics processes.

- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of logistics and operations staff, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to drive high performance.

- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, third-party logistics providers, and other external partners to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries and resolve any issues that arise.

- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies related to logistics and operations.

- Budget and Cost Control: Manage logistics-related budgets and expenditures, and track costs against forecasts to ensure financial goals are met.

- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service.

- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.

- Regularly analyze and report on operational performance.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with departments such as procurement, sales, and customer service to ensure logistics operations align with broader business objectives.

- Problem Solving: Proactively address and resolve any logistics-related issues or challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

- Customer Service: Ensure that customer satisfaction is prioritized by delivering products on time, managing inventory efficiently, and addressing any logistical concerns promptly.

Skills And Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's degree
