Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Manager - Non-EB Claims to oversee and manage the claims process for Non-Employee Benefits (Non-EB) insurance policies. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate claim settlements while complying with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Management:
- Oversee end-to-end processing of Non-EB claims (Motor, Property, Liability, Fire, Marine, etc.).
- Ensure claims are processed efficiently, within SLAs, and complies with industry regulations.
- Monitor claim reserves and settlements, ensuring fair claim evaluation and fraud detection.
Operations & Compliance:
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for Non-EB claims handling.
- Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, company policies, and legal requirements.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams for claim disputes and litigations.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work closely with underwriters, brokers, surveyors, and external vendors for claim processing.
- Liaise with customers to provide a seamless claims experience and resolve escalations.
- Collaborate with finance teams for timely claim payments and reconciliations.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of claims executives/associates, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team knowledge of Non-EB claims processes.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze claim trends, fraud patterns, and loss ratios to drive process improvements.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key claim metrics and challenges.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in claims handling within the general insurance sector, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Non-EB insurance products (Motor, Marine, Property, Liability, etc.).
- Expertise in claims investigation, assessment, and fraud detection.
- Familiarity with IRDAI regulations and legal aspects of claims.
- Proficiency in claims management software/tools.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications like Licentiate / Associate / Fellow from Insurance Institute of India.
- Experience in digital claims processing and automation tools.
