Manager - Logistics

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the flow of goods and services.

- Manage and oversee the entire supply chain process, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.

- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.

- Monitor and manage the performance of logistics operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

- Oversee the storage, handling, and inventory management of products in warehouses.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with transportation providers, suppliers, and logistics partners.

- Manage a team of logistics staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations.

- Monitor and control logistics budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.

- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, including delivery performance, cost per shipment, and inventory accuracy.

- Utilize logistics software and technologies to track shipments, manage inventory, and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Proven experience in logistics management or supply chain operations.

- Strong understanding of logistics software and technologies.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in logistics and transportation.

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other partners.

Preferred Skills:

- Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

- Experience with international logistics and global supply chain management.

- Professional certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials up to [weight, e.g., 25kg].

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions.

Working Conditions:

- Office-based with occasional travel to warehouses, transportation hubs, and supplier facilities.

- May require occasional weekend or evening work to manage urgent logistics issues.
