Job Description

We are urgently hiring for a Manager IR / HR to be based at our manufacturing plant in Nagpur. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving Industrial Relations and Human Resource strategies, handling union-related matters, wage settlements, and ensuring compliance with labour laws. Proficiency in Marathi is mandatory to manage local workforce communications effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Negotiate collective bargaining agreements with unions

- Design and implement labour and employee policies


- Manage employee grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures

- Act as a strategic advisor on labour laws and compliance

- Lead monthly labour-management meetings

- Draft, update, and administer union contracts

- Prepare reports and presentations on labour relations activities and trends

- Monitor and improve employee satisfaction metrics

- Develop and oversee health, safety, and welfare policies

- Manage contract labour in alignment with business needs

- Supervise administration and HR operations at the plant level

- Represent the organization in labour courts and legal matters related to factory operations

Candidate Profile

- 8+ years of experience in IR/HR within a manufacturing or industrial setup

- Proven experience in long-term wage settlements and handling unionized environments

- Strong understanding of labour laws, statutory compliance, and plant HR practices

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Language proficiency in Marathi is mandatory
