1. JOB PURPOSE:

To support Group ESG Team in driving and implementing Bajaj Finserv Group's ESG initiatives. The role involves ESG data collection, analysis, reporting, and project management support for publication of quarterly and Annual ESG metrics reporting to ensure compliance with ESG standards and regulations.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Business Context:

- The Group ESG function works with all the Bajaj Finserv Group Companies to drive ESG adoption and reporting.

- The function also involves interaction with external stakeholders for furtherance of Group's ESG initiatives.

- Drives continuous benchmarking to deliver best in class ESG rating within Financial Services space.

- Increasing Regulatory Scrutiny: Heightened regulatory focus on ESG reporting, including mandatory disclosures and stricter compliance standards under SEBI - BRSR, RBI Climate disclosures and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) disclosure requirements.

- Investor Demand: Growing investor and raters-rankers interest in ESG factors and the need for transparent, and reliable ESG reporting.

- Operational Risks: Potential financial and reputational risks associated with poor ESG performance and non-compliance.

- Competitive Advantage: Strong ESG performance can differentiate Bajaj Finserv group from competitors and attract sustainable investors.

Job Purpose:

- Support ESG Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of the Group's evolving ESG strategy.

- Act as Subject Matter Expert for ESG data and ESG IT architect for the group.

- Data Management: Collect, clean, analyze and represent ESG data from various sources across the group.

- Provide handholding support and regular digitization and automation training to ESG data SPOCs across the Bajaj Finserv group companies.

- Reporting and Disclosure: Support in preparation of high-quality ESG reports and disclosures in accordance with relevant global standards and regulations.

- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess ESG-related data risks and controls and draft internal controls for ESG reporting in partnership with ESG SPOCs of the group companies.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders on ESG matters.

- Project Management: Manage and coordinate independent ESG projects and initiatives like decarbonization, ESG IT Architecture for group, Data Automation, ESG report design etc..

- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in ESG performance and reporting.

- Collect, analyze, and report ESG data: to support the company's sustainability goals.

- Develop and maintain dashboards: and reports using Power BI to visualize ESG metrics.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely data collection.

- Monitor and interpret ESG trends, regulations, and best practices.

- Assist in the preparation of ESG disclosures and reports for stakeholders.

- Support the development and implementation of ESG strategies and initiatives.

- Manage and create a tech-based data warehouse for ESG reporting.

- Apply IT tools like Altryx, Power BI, python and SQL for data analysis, automation, and integration of various data sources across the group companies.

3. MAJOR CHALLENGES:

- Complex Data Management: Navigating diverse data sources and ensuring data accuracy and consistency across 4 material and 6 non-Material subsidiaries of the group.

- Balancing Multiple Priorities: Juggling various tasks and projects with tight deadlines.

- Building Credibility: Establishing credibility within the organization and gaining buy-in for ESG initiatives.

- Overcoming Resistance to Change: Addressing resistance to ESG initiatives and promoting a culture of sustainability

- ESG and Corporate communication SPOCs of respective companies.

- Data SPOCs of different functions such as CSR, HR, Investments, Admin and Infra, of all BFS group companies

6. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

(State the minimum acceptable proficiency for this job which best indicates the education and/or experience requirements of this job and not the incumbent).

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/master's degree in, Environmental Sciences, ESG, Sustainability, Data Science, Corporate Responsibility or a related field.

Functional Skills & Behavioral Skills:

Functional Skills:

- Prior experience with ESG (execution / reporting / monitoring) and exposure to reporting requirements related to ESG, e.g., BRSR, SASB, UNSDG, GRI, etc.

- Proven experience as a data analyst, preferably in ESG or sustainability.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel (advanced level), PowerPoint and SharePoint.

- Advanced skills in Power BI for data visualization, dashboard creation and reporting.

- Proven experience in ESG report publication (drafting and designing of reports)

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.

- Strong SQL skills for data management and querying. (Desirable but not mandatory)

- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation. (Desirable but not mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with ESG reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, CSRD or TCFD.

- Knowledge of sustainability metrics and reporting standards.

- Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices.

Relevant and total years of Experience:

- Minimum Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in ESG, Sustainability, CSR or related role.

- ESG reporting execution experience and exposure to Project Management tools.

- Experience of similar role at Corporate/Group Headquarter level.
