Manager - Direct Tax

Purpose of Job:

To assist the departmental head in efficiently managing the direct tax compliance and reporting of Company, optimizing tax cost by availing of various benefits and concessions available under the Tax laws and minimizing risks through proper and timely guidance to Group companies and business divisions.

1. In-depth knowledge of Income Tax Act, evolving international tax concepts and transfer pricing. Working knowledge Ind-AS is required.

2. Preparing tax audit report, computation of total income, filing of return of income and advance tax computation of Tata Steel and support to its group companies

3. Computation of current tax and deferred tax on quarterly and tax reporting.

4. Handling tax assessment and litigations. Appearing before revenue authorities for tax submissions and hearings.

5. Handling all Direct tax related matters /queries of Tata Steel Limited and support to its group companies

6. Evaluating TDS implications on foreign payments considering India tax provisions and DTAAs.

7. Studying and implementing new tax provisions including tax advocacy at various forums.
