About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team in Margao, Goa. This role is pivotal in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth within the construction and building materials sector. You will be responsible for identifying and developing strategic partnerships, cultivating client relationships, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful business development.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership Development:

- Identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities within the construction, chemicals, paints, ceramics, tiles, and electrical hardware industries in the Goa region.

- Develop and nurture strong relationships with architects, contractors, builders, interior designers, and other key stakeholders.

- Create and implement strategic plans to expand the company's network and market reach.

New Business Generation:

- Proactively generate new business leads through networking, cold calling, industry events, and other effective strategies.

- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients and partners.

Negotiate and close deals to achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.

Client Relationship Management:

- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

- Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries and concerns promptly. -

- Implement client retention strategies to foster long-term partnerships.

Vendor Management:

- Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality products and services.

- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with vendors to optimize costs and ensure timely delivery.

- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure smooth operations and efficient supply chain management.

Sales & Revenue Generation:

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.

- Monitor sales performance and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth.

- Prepare and present sales reports to management, providing insights and recommendations.

Training and Development:

- Provide training to clients and staff on product knowledge.

- Stay up to date on product knowledge, and industry trends.

Market Analysis & Planning:

- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and competitive landscape.

- Develop strategic business plans and forecasts to guide business development activities.

- Analyze sales performance data and provide insights to improve sales effectiveness.

Critical Thinking & Execution:

- Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills in planning and executing business development strategies.

- Ensure project success through meticulous planning, execution, and follow-up.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, marketing, or a related field.

- Experience: 5-10 years of prior industry-related business development experience in the construction, chemicals, paints, ceramics, tiles, or electrical hardware sectors.

Skills:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.

- Proven knowledge and execution of successful business development strategies.

- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software. -

- Focused and goal-oriented with a strong drive to succeed.

- Knowledge of the local Goa market is a big plus.
