Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant/Manager - BFSI Consulting to lead and execute high-impact consulting projects within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. This role requires expertise in asset and wealth management, private equity, insurance consulting, and alternative investment funds (AIFs). The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering strategic advisory, competitive analysis, operational benchmarking, fund assessment, regulatory consulting, and digital transformation solutions.
As a key member of the consulting team, you will manage client relationships, oversee project execution, and develop industry insights to support financial institutions in optimizing their business strategies. The role involves team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and business development to drive growth in BFSI consulting services.
Key Responsibilities:

1. BFSI Consulting & Advisory:
- Provide strategic consulting services to clients in asset management, insurance, private equity, wealth management, and alternative investment funds (AIFs).
- Conduct competitive and operational benchmarking studies to help financial institutions optimize performance and improve efficiency.
- Lead fund manager assessments, evaluating portfolio management strategies, risk frameworks, and investment performance.
- Offer regulatory consulting to help clients navigate evolving financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Develop market research reports, providing data-driven insights into investment trends, financial markets, and emerging opportunities.
2. Strategic Review & Business Optimization
- Conduct in-depth business assessments for BFSI clients, identifying growth opportunities, market positioning, and potential risks.
- Perform compensation benchmarking for financial institutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Advise clients on M&A strategy, investment structuring, and financial due diligence.
- Assist in the strategic review of business operations, identifying areas for process optimization and innovation.
3. Digital Transformation & Financial Technology Consulting
- Guide BFSI clients in digital consulting initiatives, including technology adoption, AI-driven financial analytics, and automation.
- Support the implementation of digital wealth management platforms, fintech solutions, and robo-advisory services.
- Help financial institutions adapt to disruptive technologies, including blockchain, digital payments, and AI-based risk assessment tools.
4. Project Management & Delivery Execution
- Manage end-to-end consulting project delivery, ensuring high-quality execution, adherence to timelines, and achievement of client objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized solutions that address client needs.
- Oversee report writing, data analysis, and presentation development to deliver impactful insights and recommendations.
- Monitor industry changes and proactively update consulting frameworks and methodologies to maintain competitive advantage.
5. Business Development & Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with BFSI clients, ensuring long-term engagement and consulting opportunities.
- Support strategic selling, proposal development, and pitch presentations for new business opportunities.
- Engage with senior management at client organizations to provide thought leadership and advisory services.
- Participate in industry forums, conferences, and knowledge-sharing sessions to showcase expertise in BFSI consulting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Educational & Professional Background:
- MBA from a recognized institution with a specialization in finance, consulting, or strategy.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in BFSI consulting, financial advisory, or strategic business consulting.
2. Core Consulting Skills:
- Strong expertise in competitive benchmarking, market research, fund assessment, and operational strategy.
- Ability to conduct actuarial analysis, regulatory consulting, and business reviews.
- Proficiency in data analytics, financial modeling, and risk assessment techniques.
- Experience in delivering digital transformation projects for financial institutions.
3. Business & Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills to engage with senior executives.
- Strong ability to develop pitch decks, business proposals, and strategic reports.
- Experience in strategic selling and business development to expand consulting services.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
