Purpose: The Media Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the marketing efforts of a leading preschool brand through various offline channels. The person will be responsible for developing comprehensive offline media plans and executing effective marketing strategies to maximize the reach and impact of brand campaigns. The Candidate needs to possess a strong knowledge of a range of media platforms such as Print, TV, Radio, OOH, Bus Branding, Transit Media, Hyperlocal Media etc. The individual will be expected to have knowledge of various tools and scientific approaches towards data-driven media planning to help achieve business objectives such as Enrolments and Franchise SignUps.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Develop offline media strategies: Research, analyse, and identify offline media channels that align with the target audience and campaign objectives. Develop strategic and data-driven media plans to optimise reach, frequency, and impact.
2. Media planning: Create detailed scientific and data-driven media plans outlining budget allocation & media mix. Monitor media buying process to ensure efficient execution and adherence to budget.
3. Reporting and analytics: Generate regular reports on campaign performance, key metrics, and ROI. Utilize data, insights and analytics tools to evaluate the success of media strategies and make data-driven recommendations for future campaigns.
4. Campaign optimisation: Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of offline media campaigns. Analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize media strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.
5. Market research and competitive analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities related to offline media. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform media strategy and identify opportunities for differentiation.
6. Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, brand management, and analytics, to align offline media strategies with broader marketing objectives. Provide strategic input to optimize messaging, visuals, and overall campaign impact. Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide insights and recommendations to support integrated marketing campaigns.
7. Payment management: Oversee the timely processing of vendor invoices and ensure accurate payment reconciliation. Coordinate with procurement, finance and accounting departments to manage media-related financial transactions and maintain budget compliance.
Experience and Qualification:
- BMM or Bachelor's degree with 5+ Years of experience in media planning role
- Familiarity with the local market trends, customer preferences, and demographics in the target areas
- Proficiency in data analytics and interpretation to inform media strategies. Familiarity with media research tools and analytics platforms is crucial
- Proficiency in excel and ability to reports to measure ROI/ campaign KPIs
- Experience in negotiating with media vendors to secure optimal placements and rates
- Strong ability to articulate media strategies and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative offline marketing ideas and initiatives.
