Role: GM - Category
Qualification: Minimum 7-8 years of relevant experience in managing Sport nutrition / fitness brand/ Beauty/ Home healthcare category of products.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Category Optimization & Management:
- Develop category and subcategory strategies: brand & product assortment, manage margin, pricing competitiveness, sales and promotions, while driving sales and profit margin.
- To maintain effective merchandise planning: including expanding product assortment, new brands suggestion, and seasonal/exclusive merchandise.
- Keep updated on industry development with an ability to analyze past data and forecast market trends.
- Improvement and optimization of assortments. Scout new brands to nurture Life / Health & Glow as a skincare destination
- Identify new distribution channels, target customers and develop business relationships with other malls, exhibitions centers etc.
Sales Team Management & Development:
- Train & develop Beauty Advisors to Drive sales across all retail stores to achieve targets and ensure business profitability.
- Forecast manpower requirement and optimize manpower utilization through appropriate staff allocation, leave management, performance evaluation, incentive allocation etc.
- Develop training program, identify training champions and conduct regular training of Skincare, Personal care, Beauty category product and new assortments.
Branding & promotion:
- Design & implement strategic sales campaigns with pharmacies, malls, supermarket brands to increase store footfalls.
- Implement category promotion offers/schemes in coordination with Ops team
- Work in close partnership with Marketing Team: to enhance product visibility, improve sale performance by brand.
Inventory Control:
- Work with inventory management to ensure flow to distribution centers & retail outlet to mitigate out of stocks, spoils, excess supply situation.
- Work in close partnership with Operation and Supply Chain to ensure cost-effective delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Achieve total inventory turn for the assigned merchandise category. Create monthly / quarterly purchasing requirement in alignment with sale target and marketing promotion.
