
Job Title: Legal Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Manager with hands-on experience in the NBFC sector and practical exposure in Lower & District Courts. The role involves managing litigation, arbitration, legal compliance, and providing end-to-end legal support to business operations.
Key Responsibilities (KRA):
- Represent the organization in Lower & District Courts for arbitration, civil, criminal, and
recovery cases.
- Handle Section 138 matters (cheque bounce), NACH cases, EP cases, and consumer disputes.
- Draft, review, and vet legal documents, contracts, and agreements to mitigate risks.
- Provide legal support for SARFAESI proceedings and coordinate with external counsel for High Court matters.
- Ensure timely filing, follow-up, and closure of litigation and arbitration cases.
- Maintain and monitor compliance with NBFC legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Develop strategies for effective case management, recovery processes, and arbitration.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders for legal opinions and advisory.
- Monitor changes in legislation and implement compliance requirements within the organization.
- Support the management with legal risk assessments, reporting, and decision-making.
Required Skillsets:
- Strong knowledge of Arbitration, Civil & Criminal Law, EP cases, SARFAESI, and Consumer Protection laws.
- Hands-on experience in drafting, vetting, and reviewing legal documents.
- Proficiency in court procedures and litigation management.
- Good understanding of NBFC regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage external counsel and coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
