Job Summary:

- Seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Counsel to join our Legal Department.

- The ideal candidate will have expertise in life insurance litigation and will be responsible for managing and defending the company in all types of legal disputes related to life insurance policies, claims, and regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Represent the company in legal proceedings related to life insurance policies, including disputes over policy coverage, claims denials, bad faith, fraud, and beneficiary issues.

- Draft, review, and file litigation documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.

- Provide legal counsel on a variety of litigation matters, including policy interpretation, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis of insurance laws, regulations, and case precedents to inform litigation strategies.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (claims adjusters, underwriters, and other departments) to assess risks and provide legal guidance on claims handling and policy disputes.

- Manage and oversee the entire litigation process, including pre-trial motions, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.

- Represent the company in court, arbitration, or mediation proceedings, ensuring the company's interests are well-represented.

- Keep abreast of relevant legal developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes in the life insurance space.
