We are seeking a Disputes Partner (12+ years PQE) to join a well-established Tier 3 law firm. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior disputes lawyer with a proven track record of handling high-stakes litigation and arbitration, looking to expand their practice within a growing firm.
About the Firm:
Our client is a full-service law firm with a strong disputes practice, representing clients in complex litigation and arbitration matters. The firm has a solid client base across industries, handling disputes related to commercial contracts, infrastructure projects, insolvency, white-collar crime, and regulatory matters. The firm is now looking to onboard a dynamic partner who can bring expertise, leadership, and a strong client portfolio.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Handling high-value commercial litigation and arbitration before the Supreme Court, High Courts, NCLT, NCLAT, and arbitral tribunals.
- Managing a team of dispute resolution lawyers and guiding them on case strategy, pleadings, and court appearances.
- Business development and client management, ensuring growth in the firm's disputes practice.
- Collaborating with other practice groups within the firm to provide clients with comprehensive legal solutions.
- Building and maintaining relationships with senior counsels and briefing them for key matters.
- Providing strategic advice to clients on dispute avoidance and risk mitigation.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial litigation and arbitration.
- A minimum book size of INR 1.5 Cr OR 1.5x their current cost to the firm.
- Strong advocacy skills and extensive experience in handling complex disputes.
- A demonstrated ability to generate and manage business independently.
- Experience working with top-tier law firms, litigation chambers, or leading disputes practices.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior team members.
