We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Payroll, Compliance, and Benefits function. This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations, and overseeing employee benefits programs. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in payroll administration, regulatory compliance, and compensation & benefits management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Payroll Management: Payroll Processing: Oversee and process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

- Salary Components Management: Manage salary components, deductions, reimbursements, and tax calculations.

- Collaboration with Finance: Collaborate with finance teams to ensure proper payroll accounting and reconciliations.

- Payroll Audits: Handle payroll audits and ensure payroll data integrity and confidentiality.

- Compliance & Statutory Regulations - Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all labor laws, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements related to payroll, including PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, LWF, and Income Tax.

- Legal Updates: Stay updated on changes in employment laws and ensure organizational compliance.

- Government Liaison: Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and legal teams for statutory filings, audits, and inspections.

- Benefits Administration - Benefits Program Management: Design, implement, and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, wellness initiatives, and retirement plans.

- Vendor Management: Partner with vendors to optimize benefit plans and negotiate contracts.

- Employee Support: Address employee queries related to payroll and benefits in a timely manner.

- Benefits Benchmarking: Conduct benefits benchmarking to ensure competitiveness in the market.

- Process Improvement & Automation - System Improvements: Drive payroll system improvements and automation for efficiency and accuracy.

- HR Tech Solutions: Implement HR tech solutions for better payroll, benefits, and compliance management.

- Policy Development: Develop policies and SOPs to streamline payroll and benefits processes.

- Requirements/Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR or a related field.

- Experience: 8+ years of experience in payroll, compliance, and benefits management.

- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of payroll processing systems (e.g., SAP, ADP, Workday, or other HRMS).

- Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of labor laws, tax laws, and statutory benefits.

- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and payroll software.

- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Confidentiality: Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.

- Structural Ability: Ability to design structure.

- Industry Knowledge: Good command on Payroll, PMS, Statutory, Productivity related matters.

- Regulatory Understanding: Demonstrated understanding of regional and local regulatory requirements and the impact on people.

- Industry Trends: Sound knowledge of various trends, practices in the industry.
