Analyst, Financial Instruments and Technology - New Delhi

- Kroll's Alternative Asset Advisory practice is seeking an Analyst to join a growing team of financial instruments experts that assist our clients with the valuation and modelling of complex financial instruments. Our quantitative analytics professionals work with FinTech companies, hedge funds, private equity funds, credit funds, and corporate finance groups to provide valuation clarity over derivatives and illiquid financial instruments which require advanced programming and financial modelling.

- We are growing our quantitative technology team with engineers who have deep knowledge of financial analysis and enjoy automating analytic process while building complex, scalable analytic tools so that they reach high performance and reliability. We are seeking an Analyst to leverage advanced analytical tools and mathematical processes in support of this high-growth team's robust asset class expertise.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

- Working with an experienced team including developers, quantitative analysts and modeler to reconcile data with information sourced across multiple types of files and dates

- Deep understanding of the data generated by loan servicing to be able to determine issues in reconciliation (examples include understanding payment settlement timing, payment failure, loan status changes)

- Ability to write code and/or queries to automate the reconciliation process

- Writing technical reports and delivering analyses to help valuation team understand issues in reconciliation, and reaching out to clients to request updated data if issues are material enough to require immediate resolution

Working closely with valuation team on various valuation projects.

Essential traits:

- Bachelors, Master's, or PhD in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline

- 2+ years of professional experience in financial industry (Fewer years of relevant experience will be considered for candidates with higher academic qualifications, such as a PhD or a second Master's degree)

- Experience working with large datasets with SQL

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills

- Comfortable to analyse data in various formats and hands on experience in data analysis

Experience in one or more of the following areas is beneficial:

- Modelling experience with Excel

- Experience with statistical modelling tools, e.g. Python & Pandas or R.
