Job Description:
She/he provides leadership to the Key Account Management (KAM) function of the enterprise "FYLS - Founding Years Learning Solutions (KLAY)." The General Manager - KAM sets the vision and direction for account growth, client engagement, and business development across the enterprise. The individual will be responsible for designing and executing client strategies, ensuring account profitability, driving revenue growth, and fostering long-term client relationships aligned with enterprise growth and business
Objectives:
- Leads and manages the Key Account Management team with a strong focus on ownership, performance, and customer-centricity.
- Develops and implements client growth strategies, drives account planning, and ensures proactive management of key accounts to maximize client value and long-term retention.
- Leads business development initiatives to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding into new service areas across existing accounts.
- Builds deep client relationships by translating business insights into actionable solutions, delivering tangible value, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure service delivery excellence and alignment with client needs.
- Provides actionable insights on client behavior, market trends, and competitor intelligence to influence business strategy and planning.
- Oversees reporting, performance tracking, and dashboarding for key accounts, ensuring data-driven decisions and timely communication with internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Plays a key role in strategic business initiatives and supports organization-wide transformation by embedding account-led thinking across teams.
Performance Metrics:
- Revenue growth and profitability of key accounts
- Client satisfaction and retention scores (NPS/CSAT)
- Conversion rates of upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets
- Contribution to strategic business growth initiatives
Education & Work Experience:
- Any graduation + MBA (Sales/Marketing/Strategy preferred)
- Total experience of 10+ years in Key Account Management or Enterprise Sales, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing pan-India accounts and reporting directly to the CEO or business head
- Preferably from service industry, education, or B2B retail-oriented businesses with multi-location operations
She/He should have worked in medium to large organizations and should demonstrate a clear understanding of complex client environments, distributed teams, and solution-based client engagement. Brings with her/him a "Growth & Relationship Mindset; Self-driven personality & team leadership approach; high personal Quality, Value & Ethics."
