Key Account Manager - Road Freight Sales
Responsible for managing and growing business from key accounts in Road Freight (FTL/PTL/Express Distribution).
Ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth while acting as the main point of contact between clients and the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop relationships with key accounts to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Act as a single point of contact for customers, ensuring smooth coordination of operations, pricing, and service delivery.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and drive cross-selling of logistics solutions.
- Handle rate negotiations, contract renewals, and service level agreements with clients.
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, pricing, customer service, billing) to ensure seamless execution of client requirements.
- Monitor account performance, service KPIs, and resolve escalations effectively.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess satisfaction levels and identify improvement areas.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to create customized solutions.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management.
Key Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of Road Freight / Transportation (FTL, PTL, Express, Last-Mile) operations.
- Proven track record in Key Account Management & Client Retention.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to handle large corporate clients with complex logistics requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
