Role: Key Account Manager Modern Trade

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager (KAM) to drive business growth in the Modern Trade channel. The role involves managing relationships with large format retail chains, expanding product presence, ensuring revenue targets, and executing trade marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key modern trade partners including national & regional retail chains.
- Business Development: Drive sales growth through effective assortment planning, visibility, and promotion execution.
- Negotiations: Manage trade terms, joint business plans, listings, and annual contracts with key accounts.
- Sales Planning: Develop and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for modern trade.
- Category & Visibility: Work with the trade marketing team to ensure product placement, merchandising, and visibility across partner stores.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track sell-in and sell-out data, monitor competition activity, and share insights with management for strategy refinement.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain, marketing, and finance to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.
Key Requirements
- Education: Graduate/MBA in Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience: 4 to 7 years of experience in FMCG/Consumer Goods handling modern trade accounts.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze sales & market trends.
- Exposure to category management, trade marketing, and retail activations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
