We operate across four different supply chains: Polymers, SaaS, Additives, and Others. We have transformed how Indian SMEs purchase petrochemicals, and we are now setting out to bring the same technology-led disruption to other segments.
Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Key Account Manager (KAM) with a strong focus on client acquisition. The role primarily involves onboarding large corporates (- 500 Cr+ turnover) as both suppliers and buyers, strengthening strategic relationships beyond regular MSME operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Client Acquisition & Business Development
- Identify, approach, and acquire key clients in the plastics processing and allied sectors.
- Develop a strong pipeline of potential clients using multiple lead-generation channels (cold calling, networking, digital outreach, industry events).
- Strategize and execute business development initiatives to penetrate new markets and segments.
2. Sales & Pitching
- Deliver compelling business presentations and customized proposals tailored to client needs.
- Communicate the value proposition of Source.One's procurement solutions to potential customers.
3. Relationship Management
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers in target organizations.
- Serve as a trusted consultant, understanding client challenges and aligning solutions accordingly.
4. Revenue Growth & Performance Management
- Drive revenue growth by successfully closing high-value deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Product, Finance) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
5. Market Research & Strategy
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving client needs to refine acquisition strategies.
- Provide market insights and recommendations to enhance business positioning.
6. Sales Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline in CRM tools.
- Regularly track, analyze, and report performance metrics to the leadership team.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience (3-6 years) in B2B sales, key account management, or client acquisition.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain high-value relationships with corporate clients.
- Target-driven with a growth mindset and strategic approach to sales.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
