Job Summary:.

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of retail stores to ensure smooth functioning, maximize profitability, and deliver excellent customer service.

This role involves strategic planning, staff management, process optimization, inventory control, and ensuring adherence to brand standards across all store locations.

Key Responsibilities:.

Store Operations Management:

- Oversee day-to-day store operations across assigned retail locations.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and visual merchandising standards.

- Conduct regular audits and store visits to assess operational efficiency.

Team Leadership & Performance:

- Lead, coach, and mentor store managers and frontline staff.

- Set and monitor KPIs for store performance, staff productivity, and customer service.

- Identify training needs and coordinate with HR for up skilling programs.

Sales & Profitability:

- Analyze sales reports to drive performance and achieve revenue targets.

- Develop and implement strategies to improve conversion rates, average transaction value, and footfall.

- Optimize store expenses to maximize profitability.

Inventory Management:

- Ensure stock levels are maintained based on demand forecasting and seasonal trends.

- Coordinate with the merchandising team to streamline inventory.

- Oversee loss prevention measures and inventory accuracy.

Customer Experience:

- Maintain high standards of customer service and customer engagement.

- Handle escalated customer issues and implement feedback mechanisms.

- Ensure stores are equipped to deliver a consistent brand experience.

Reporting & Strategy:

- Generate and present regular reports on store performance, operations, and customer feedback.

- Participate in budgeting, planning, and execution of operational initiatives.

- Work closely with marketing, HR, and merchandising teams for cross-functional alignment.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.

- MBA preferred.

- 5-10 years of experience in retail operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

- Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Proficient in MS Office and retail management systems (e.g, POS, ERP).

- Willingness to travel frequently to store locations.

- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):.

- Store revenue vs. target.

- Customer satisfaction (NPS or CSAT).

- Inventory accuracy and shrinkage rate.

- Staff turnover and productivity.

- Operational compliance score.
