About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and coordinate our Legal ERP and Research & Operations Team. This role requires strong expertise in project management, legal operations, litigation support, or arbitration environments. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient legal research workflows, maintaining quality documentation standards, and driving operational excellence through Legal ERP and technology-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership skills, a deep understanding of legal processes, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-compliance environment.

Key Responsibilities

Team & Operations Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and manage the legal research team, overseeing day-to-day operations and project execution.


- Conduct periodic performance reviews, provide coaching, and create professional development opportunities.


- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Project Management & Coordination

- Develop and implement detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for legal research and documentation.


- Coordinate between legal researchers, litigation/arbitration teams, and stakeholders for seamless communication.


- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.


- Ensure adherence to compliance, legal documentation standards, and project deadlines.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

- Maintain rigorous quality control for all legal research, reports, and documentation.


- Review deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with legal standards.


- Prepare comprehensive project status reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.

Process Optimization & Technology Integration

- Optimize research workflows and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.


- Leverage Legal ERP platforms and Legal Tech solutions for case management, knowledge management, and reporting.


- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend tools that improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

Education:

- Masters degree in Law, or related fields preferred.

- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is strongly desirable.

Experience:

- 6-7 years of proven experience in project management, preferably in legal operations, litigation support, or arbitration environments.

- Strong understanding of legal processes, research methodologies, and documentation standards.

- Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams in high-compliance environments.

Skills & Knowledge:

- Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, Trello, Jira, MS Project) and legal research databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw, SCC Online).

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for effective stakeholder management.

- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver within strict timelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience with Legal ERP systems and Legal Tech solutions for workflow automation and case management.

- Strong knowledge of litigation and arbitration processes.

- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and best practices in legal operations
