Role Overview:


The Assistant General Manager Legal will lead and manage legal operations across JSW Ones business verticals. This role involves strategic legal advisory, contract management, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will bring deep legal expertise, strong business acumen, and leadership capabilities to support JSW Ones growth and governance objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management & Legal Drafting:


- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including vendor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, MoUs, and technology licensing agreements.

- Ensure contracts are legally sound and aligned with business objectives.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance:

- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations (Companies Act, Contract Act, IPR, IT Act, etc.).

- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely filings and disclosures.

Dispute Resolution & Litigation:

- Manage pre-litigation and litigation matters including arbitration, civil disputes, and consumer cases.

- Coordinate with external counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings.

Risk Management:

- Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.

- Conduct legal audits and support internal controls.

Corporate Affairs:

- Support board and shareholder meetings, resolutions, and statutory documentation.

- Assist in corporate restructuring, M&A, and investment transactions.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Work closely with finance, procurement, HR, and operations teams to provide legal guidance.

- Lead legal negotiations with clients, vendors, and partners.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: LL.B. from a recognized university; CS qualification is a plus.

- Experience: 1015 years of legal experience, preferably in manufacturing, infrastructure, or digital platforms.

Skills:

- Strong drafting and negotiation skills

- Knowledge of corporate, commercial, and technology law

- Excellent communication and leadership abilities

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
