We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to lead plant operations with a focus on process optimization, efficient resource utilization, and effective inventory management.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in production planning, materials management, and ERP-based reporting, ensuring timely material availability and smooth plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance overall productivity.
- Monitor and manage resource utilization across departments, ensuring minimal wastage and cost efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels by implementing effective stock control systems and regular monitoring of usage trends.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to share material requirements and ensure timely procurement of raw materials.
- Ensure material availability for uninterrupted production while maintaining optimal stock levels.
- Utilize ERP systems for MIS reporting, tracking key metrics related to inventory, production, and plant performance.
- Generate and analyze periodic reports to identify gaps, monitor KPIs, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement best practices for inventory and resource management.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (procurement, production, quality, and logistics) to align operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in plant operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
- 6-10 years of experience in plant operations, inventory management, or production planning.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / equivalent) for production and inventory management.
- Hands-on experience in resource optimization, process improvement, and inventory control.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making ability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies is desirable.
