Investment Manager - Private Equity

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Manager to join our Private Equity team, with a focus on origination and execution of investments in startups and early-stage companies across diverse sectors. The role requires a strong network within the startup and venture ecosystem, proven deal-sourcing ability, and expertise in evaluating high-growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Origination & Sourcing:

- Identify, evaluate, and originate private equity investment opportunities in startups and early-stage businesses.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, incubators, accelerators, investment bankers, and the broader venture ecosystem.

Investment Evaluation & Execution:

- Conduct financial, commercial, and strategic due diligence on potential investments.

- Prepare investment memorandums, deal models, and recommendations for the Investment Committee.

- Negotiate deal structures, terms, and legal documentation with stakeholders.

Portfolio Management:

- Work closely with portfolio companies to support growth strategies, governance, financial performance, and operational excellence.

- Monitor investments through ongoing performance tracking and reporting.

Market & Sector Research:

- Track industry trends, emerging sectors, and innovative business models.

- Provide insights to shape investment strategy in line with market opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

- MBA/CA/CFA or equivalent from a reputed institution.

- 6-10 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or consulting with strong exposure to startup/early-stage deals.

- Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation, and investment structuring.

- Proven ability to originate deals through a strong personal/professional network.

- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
