About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Project Manager to lead critical infrastructure projects.
The Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring project success by effectively monitoring progress, managing risks, and presenting comprehensive project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, and project team members.
A strong background in infrastructure project management, exceptional vendor coordination skills, and proven cross-functional and team leadership abilities are essential.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for building and maintaining in-depth knowledge of data center physical infrastructure components and data center tier architecture, ensuring all projects align with industry best practices and standards.
This role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex technical landscapes, manage diverse teams, and drive projects to successful completion within scope, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Definition:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocation matrices, and budget estimates.
- Identify, secure, and allocate necessary resources and expertise for optimal project execution.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies and comprehensive risk assessments to proactively anticipate and mitigate potential challenges.
Project Execution & Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor project deliverables, progress, and performance against the defined project plan.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing effective mitigation and contingency strategies.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards and specifications.
Stakeholder & Communication Management:
- Facilitate effective communication and foster seamless collaboration among all project participants, including cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Effectively manage stakeholder expectations and expertly resolve any conflicts or disagreements among stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members with clarity, ensuring clear understanding, accountability, and optimal utilization of skills.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive, actionable feedback to team members to enhance performance and development.
Vendor & Contractor Management:
- Oversee contract negotiations, review agreements, and rigorously ensure compliance with all contractual agreements and service level objectives.
- Monitor vendor performance and meticulously assess the quality of deliverables to ensure adherence to standards.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Oversee comprehensive quality control throughout the entire project lifecycle, with a particular focus on infrastructure components and critical systems.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, records, and audit trails for all project activities.
Continuous Improvement:
- Implement continuous improvements for future project management processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- MBA Preferred.
- 6-10 years of progressive experience in project management, with a strong and demonstrable focus on infrastructure projects (e.g., data centers, network deployments, facility upgrades, cloud infrastructure).
- Demonstrated strong business acumen in all phases of project planning, execution, monitoring, and management.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects from conception to successful completion.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, concisely, and persuasively at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
