Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong finance background to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in driving the successful implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) for our financial processes. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of finance principles, coupled with hands-on experience in D365 F&O implementations. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, configuring the system, and providing training and support to end-users.

Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

- Conduct workshops and interviews with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements related to finance processes (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Cost Accounting, etc.).

- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.

- Document current and future state business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.

D365 F&O Implementation and Configuration:

- Participate in end-to-end D365 F&O implementations, focusing on the finance modules.

- Configure D365 F&O to meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with best practices.

- Perform system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Collaborate with technical teams (developers, consultants) to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Financial Process Optimization:

- Analyze existing financial processes and identify areas for improvement.

- Recommend and implement best practices for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

User Training and Support:

- Develop and deliver training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.

- Provide ongoing support to end-users, troubleshooting issues and resolving queries.

- Create and maintain user documentation and knowledge base articles.

Project Management and Communication:

- Contribute to project planning and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates and progress reports.

- Manage and prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

Staying Current:

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of D365 F&O features and functionalities, as well as industry best practices.

- Participate in relevant training and certifications.

Required Skills and Experience:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

- Preferred: CA, MBA in Finance.

Experience:

- 4-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on finance.

- 3-4 years of relevant Dynamics AX / D365 F&O implementation experience with a Finance focus.

- Minimum of 1 full lifecycle D365 F&O implementation experience.

- Strong understanding of core financial modules in D365 F&O (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Cost Accounting, etc.).

- Experience with financial reporting and analysis.

- Understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

- Strong understanding of data analysis and reporting tools.

- Familiarity with project management methodologies.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).

Soft Skills:

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations certifications.

- Experience in specific industry verticals (e.g., manufacturing, retail, public sector).

- Knowledge of data migration and integration tools.
