Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Expert with deep knowledge of infrastructure and hardware systems in the BSFI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector. This role is focused on managing, overseeing, and optimizing physical infrastructure and hardware systems within the organization. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in infrastructure management and hardware systems, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Infrastructure & Hardware Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of physical infrastructure, including hardware systems such as servers, storage devices, network equipment, and other infrastructure components.

- System Integration: Ensure proper integration of hardware systems with existing physical infrastructure to support smooth and efficient operations across the business.

- Vendor Management: Liaise with hardware vendors to ensure timely delivery, installation, and maintenance of infrastructure components.

- Capacity Planning & Scaling: Monitor hardware capacity and performance, and plan for future scaling needs to ensure the infrastructure meets business growth and demand.

- Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular performance assessments of hardware and infrastructure systems to identify areas of improvement and optimization.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure infrastructure hardware systems comply with industry standards and financial regulatory requirements (e.g., RBI, SEBI, GDPR, etc.).

- Incident Management: Address and resolve hardware-related issues or failures promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.

- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Assist in developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans related to physical infrastructure and hardware systems.

- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of hardware systems, configurations, vendor contracts, and incident reports. Prepare regular performance and status reports for management.

- Collaboration with IT Teams: Although this is a non-IT role, work closely with the IT team to ensure smooth integration and operation of the physical infrastructure with the broader technology environment.

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus.

- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in managing physical infrastructure and hardware systems, preferably in a BSFI environment.

- BSFI Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of infrastructure needs and regulatory compliance in the BSFI sector.

- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of hardware systems, including servers, storage, networking equipment, and other physical infrastructure components.

- Vendor Management: Experience in managing relationships with hardware vendors and ensuring timely delivery and maintenance of infrastructure components.

- Capacity Management: Expertise in monitoring and scaling hardware resources to meet growing business needs.

- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to address and resolve hardware issues quickly.

- Compliance Understanding: Familiarity with relevant regulations, compliance standards, and risk management processes in the BSFI sector.

- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and vendors, as well as present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

- Project Management: Ability to manage hardware-related projects, including upgrades, installations, and capacity expansions.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning related to physical infrastructure.

- Knowledge of physical security requirements related to infrastructure hardware in the financial services sector.

- Certifications related to infrastructure management or hardware systems would be a plus (e.g., vendor-specific certifications from hardware providers, or general certifications like PMP).
