Role: Area Sales Manager
Location: Chinchwad, Maharashtra (On-site)
Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Sales Head
Job Summary:
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share within the assigned territory. This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, building strong client relationships, achieving sales targets, and representing InfeXn Laboratories as a trusted partner in the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the diagnostic industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of sales success.
Key Responsibilities: -
1. Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Identify and target key customer segments, including hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers, and corporate clients. -
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and market trends.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurately forecast sales.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Effectively manage sales budgets and expenses.
2. Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular client visits to understand their needs and provide product/service information.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through networking and proactive outreach.
- Organize and participate in client events, conferences, and trade shows.
3. Sales Performance & Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, activity reports, and market analysis.
- Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities and manage client data.
- Provide feedback to the management team on market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback.
4. Team Collaboration & Development (If Applicable):
- Potentially lead and motivate a team of sales representatives (depending on the territory structure).
- Provide training and coaching to team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
5. Product Knowledge & Industry Awareness:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of InfeXn Laboratories' products and services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in infectious disease testing, and competitor offerings.
- Provide product training and support to clients and team members.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the healthcare or diagnostic industry.
Sales Skills: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. -
Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Market Knowledge: Knowledge of the healthcare market and infectious disease testing industry is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM systems.
Leadership Skills (If Applicable): Experience in managing and motivating a sales team.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in sales or business development are a plus.
Language: Fluency in English and the local language is essential.
