Job Title: Regional Business Head (Kolkata)

Role Summary / Purpose

This is a senior leadership role having a specific mandate of turning around a strategically important market. The Business Head will take full ownership of the region's revenue performance, lead ecosystem, market penetration, and brand positioning. As a senior member of the regional leadership team, the Business Head will set the growth agenda for Kolkata, work closely with other functions and be empowered to drive both strategy and execution with autonomy.

Role Scope & Accountability (Top 4 but not limited to)

1. Own and drive revenue performance for the Kolkata region.

2. Lead generation, student acquisition, funnel management, and conversion strategy.

3. Identify local growth opportunities and build strategic outreach/partnerships with colleges, coaching classes, and influencers.

4. Lead and manage the business team, ensuring close collaboration with counselling, marketing, and academic teams.

Outcomes expected (within first 6-12 months)

- Achieve or exceed revenue targets for the region across all test prep programs.

- Establish a steady and predictable lead funnel through local outreach, partnerships, and ground-level activations.

- Strengthen IMS's brand visibility and recall in key micro-markets within Kolkata.

- Identify and activate new growth channels (college tie-ups, coaching alliances, alumni referrals, etc.)

Qualification / Competencies Required (Must-Have)

- Postgraduate / MBA from one of the top B-Schools.

- 8-12 years in Business Development, Sales, or Marketing (preferably in education, EdTech, or service sectors)

- Strong execution skills and on-ground presence

- Deep understanding of Kolkata market dynamics is a must.
