Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join our organization. The ideal candidate will provide accurate and timely legal advice across a broad range of business matters, ensure legal compliance, and help protect the companys legal interests. This role involves working closely with management, internal departments, and external counsel.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, service agreements, NDAs, MoUs, vendor agreements, etc.
- Identify and address potential legal risks and provide strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure company compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies across all jurisdictions in which the company operates.
- Support dispute resolution and litigation matters, including coordination with external legal counsel when required.
- Advise on legal implications of business strategies, decisions, and operational practices.
- Stay up to date with changes in applicable laws and regulations, and communicate relevant
updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in managing corporate governance, including board resolutions, filings, and maintaining statutory records.
- Support in managing intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and licensing.
- Conduct legal training for employees to promote compliance and awareness of legal
responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Law (LLB); Masters degree (LLM) or specialization in Corporate/Business Law is a plus.
- Licensed to practice law.
- 4+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably in both a law firm and in-house legal department.
- Solid knowledge of corporate, commercial, and labor laws.
- Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Knowledge of cross-border regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
