Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Pre-Sales Manager to lead and manage our pre-sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing pre-sales strategies, managing a team of Pre-Sales Executives, and ensuring the seamless conversion of prospects into qualified opportunities for the sales team. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive B2B sales experience in the solar/renewable energy sector, and a proven ability to drive team performance while maintaining high standards of client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Pre-Sales Executives to achieve individual and team targets
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for team members on solar
solutions, CRM usage, and sales techniques
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and create development plans for team members
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the pre-sales team
- Monitor team productivity and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute pre-sales strategies to maximize lead conversion and pipeline quality
- Establish and maintain standardized processes for lead qualification, prospect engagement, and handover to sales teams
- Collaborate with senior management to set team targets, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine pre-sales approach and positioning
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Handle complex and high-value prospects requiring senior-level engagement
- Participate in key client meetings and presentations alongside the sales team
- Ensure consistent and professional communication standards across all client interactions
- Resolve escalated client concerns and maintain long-term relationship strategies
CRM & Process Management
- Oversee the effective utilization of Lead Squared CRM system across the team
- Ensure data accuracy, pipeline management, and regular reporting of sales activities
- Implement and maintain quality control measures for lead qualification and follow-up processes
- Generate comprehensive reports on team performance, conversion rates, and pipeline health
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing teams to optimize lead generation campaigns and follow-up strategies
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure accurate solution recommendations and proposals
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure smooth handover of qualified opportunities
- Provide feedback to product development teams based on market insights and client requirements
Required Qualifications Experience & Background
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Proven track record in the solar/renewable energy sector with deep understanding of solar solutions
- Extensive experience in lead management, client engagement, and CRM systems (Lead Squared preferred)
- Demonstrated success in team leadership and achieving sales targets
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, energy solutions, and renewable energy market dynamics
- Proficiency in CRM management and sales analytics tools
- Advanced knowledge of sales processes, lead qualification methodologies, and pipeline management
- Excellent data analysis skills to interpret market trends and team performance metrics
