Job Summary:
The org. is looking for a highly technical and process-driven HR Operations Manager with a strong background in HR technology, payroll management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leveraging HR tech platforms to optimize workforce operations, ensuring seamless payroll execution, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making.
The role demands deep expertise in HR analytics, process automation, digital transformation, and statutory compliance, particularly in the financial services sector. Candidates with prior experience in HR operations roles within banks, AMC firms or insurance companies will be preferred.
Responsibilities:
1. HR Service Delivery & Operational Excellence:
- Streamline employee onboarding, exits, background verification, and employee query resolution using chatbots, AI-driven ticketing systems, and digital workflows.
- Enhance self-service HR portals for seamless employee interactions and process execution.
- To promptly address employee requests submitted to the HR department.
- Drive HR process standardization, ensuring uniform policies across all business units.
2. HR Technology, HRIS & Automation, HR Process Digitization & Efficiency:
- Drive automation in employee life cycle management, payroll processing, and compliance reporting to enhance efficiency.
- Implement AI/ML-based HR solutions for data-driven decision-making in performance management, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
- Oversee HR data integrity, cybersecurity measures, and system audits to ensure secure and compliant data management.
- Lead the digitization of non-value-added services in the employee lifecycle to improve efficiency.
- Identify automation opportunities in HR processes to enhance employee experience.
3. Policy & SOP Management:
- Constantly update and refine employee policies, SOPs, and HR frameworks to maintain industry best practices.
- Ensure that policies align with employee well-being, organizational goals, and compliance standards.
- Benchmark HR policies against market best practices to position the company as an employer of choice.
4. Payroll, Compliance & Labour Law Adherence:
- Ensure 100% compliance with labour laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Keep track of updates in labour laws, wage codes, and statutory requirements, ensuring timely implementation.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, managing payroll structures, taxation, and incentive payouts while maintaining compliance with EPF, ESI, Gratuity, and IT Act provisions.
- Monitor and implement labour laws, SEBI, IRDAI, and other regulatory guidelines to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance.
- Manage HR audit processes, regulatory filings, and compliance frameworks related to the BFSI and AMC industries.
- Maintain strong relationships with legal and compliance teams, external consultants, and regulatory authorities.
5. Audit & Risk Management:
- Prepare and manage HR audits, ensuring zero non-compliance in internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure documentation and reporting compliance.
- Proactively identify and mitigate HR compliance risks to avoid legal and reputational issues.
6. Workforce Analytics & HR Metrics:
- Develop real-time HR dashboards and reporting frameworks to track headcount, payroll costs, attrition trends, and employee productivity.
- Utilize predictive analytics to forecast workforce trends, optimize talent allocation, and improve HR efficiency.
- Implement automated reporting tools to enhance HR decision-making and ensure data-driven governance.
7. Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with business heads, fund managers, and cross-functional teams to align HR operations with organizational strategy.
- Manage third-party vendors for payroll processing, HR tech implementation, and compliance audits.
- Partner with finance teams to ensure seamless integration of HR and payroll systems for accurate cost forecasting.
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll, Compliance, and HR Technology, preferably in Asset Management, BFSI, or Fintech sectors.
- Strong understanding of HRIS platforms (SAP, PeopleStrong, Darwinbox, Workday, or equivalent) with hands-on implementation experience.
- Expertise in labour laws, SEBI regulations, EPF, IT Act, and other statutory compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience in HR process automation, AI-driven analytics, and digital HR transformation.
- Ability to manage complex payroll structures, performance-linked incentives, and statutory deductions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate with senior leadership, auditors, and regulators.
