Role Overview:

Hindustan Feeds is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Plant Head to provide strategic and operational leadership for our manufacturing unit in Shrirampur. As the Plant Head, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production, implementing and maintaining best-in-class practices, managing resources effectively, fostering a safe and disciplined work environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Production Planning and Execution: Develop, implement, and monitor efficient production planning systems to meet market demands, optimize resource utilization, and ensure timely execution of production schedules.

- Maintenance Strategy and Implementation: Devise, adopt, and oversee the implementation of proactive and effective maintenance practices for all plant machinery, buildings, and godowns to minimize downtime, maximize operational efficiency, and ensure asset longevity.

- Budgetary Planning and Control: Develop comprehensive annual budgets for the plant, monitor financial performance against targets, implement robust cost control measures, and ensure efficient resource allocation.

- Personnel Management and Discipline: Provide strong leadership and effective supervision to all factory personnel, including direct employees and contractor staff, fostering a culture of accountability, discipline, and teamwork while adhering to company policies and regulations.

- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Development and Compliance: Establish, implement, and ensure strict adherence to comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all critical plant activities to maintain quality, safety, and operational consistency.

- Statutory and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the plant operates in full compliance with all applicable statutory obligations, labor laws, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

- Repairs and Maintenance Execution: Oversee and manage the timely and efficient execution of all necessary repairs and maintenance activities for plant machinery, buildings, and godowns, ensuring minimal disruption to production.

- New Project Implementation: Lead and manage the implementation of new projects related to machinery upgrades, facility expansions, and the construction or modification of buildings and godowns, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

- Minimum of 13 to 15 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, with significant leadership responsibilities.

- Proven experience in production planning and execution.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective maintenance practices.

- Strong budgetary planning and control skills.

- Excellent leadership and personnel management skills with a focus on maintaining discipline and fostering a positive work environment.

- Experience in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Thorough understanding of statutory obligations applicable to manufacturing facilities.

- Proven track record in managing repairs and maintenance activities for plant infrastructure and machinery.

- Experience in the successful implementation of new projects related to plant and machinery.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
