Human Resources Director

Role Description:

The Human Resources Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, compliance, industrial relations, training, and employee engagement.

Additionally, you will manage vital administrative operations such as canteen, transport, security, and other facilities.

Given the unique rural manufacturing setting, this role requires a strategic HR leader who can also effectively manage day-to-day labor relations and drive administrative efficiency.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Educational Background:


- Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.


- A Postgraduate Diploma or MBA in HR/IR/Personnel Management is strongly preferred.

Experience:


- 812 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role.


- Prior experience in manufacturing, agri-inputs, FMCG, or other factory-based business settings.


- Hands-on experience managing plant HR, particularly in non-metro/rural industrial setups.

Labor and Compliance Knowledge:


- Deep knowledge of Indian labor laws, including PF/ESIC, Factory Act, Shops & Establishment Act, and contract labor regulations.


- Proven experience in handling audits, government inspections, and managing union or labor relations.

Administrative Skills:


- Demonstrated capability to manage various administrative functions: office administration, canteen, housekeeping, security, vehicle/transportation, and guest house/staff quarters.

People & Communication Skills:


- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.


- Fluency in Marathi is essential, with working knowledge of Hindi and English.


- Comfortable interacting effectively with both plant workers and top management.

Preferred Qualifications:

These qualifications are valuable additions that will be highly considered, especially as we continue to grow and modernize our operations:

Advanced Education or Certifications:


- MBA in HR or PGDM.


- Certifications in Labour Law Compliance, Industrial Relations, POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment ), ISO, or HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) frameworks.

Digital Proficiency:


- Familiarity with HRIS systems, payroll software, attendance/biometric systems, and strong Excel reporting skills.

Experience in Change Management


- Experience in organization restructuring, policy development, or building HR systems from scratch.

Employee Engagement & Training Focus:


- Ability to implement effective employee development programs, conduct training needs analysis, and plan skill-building initiatives.

Crisis Management & Sensitivity:


- Experience in handling industrial disputes, worker unrest, or emergency protocols in a calm, legally compliant, and empathetic manner
