Chief Sales Officer India
Location: Hidesign HQ Pondicherry (with frequent travel across India).
Reports to: Managing Director.
Experience: 15 years in retail, consumer brand, or lifestyle industry leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all Sales channels Retail (160+ EBOs & MBOs), E-Commerce, Institutional Sales and Exports.
- Drive the business & improve profitability.
- P&L Leadership: Own the India P&L, drive revenue, profitability, and market share growth.
- Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a 5-year expansion plan, balancing growth with sustainable profitability through cost management & margin optimization.
- Retail Operations: Oversee 160+ EBOs & MBOs across malls, airports, and high streets.
- Drive productivity, customer experience, and store expansion in Tier 1 & 2 markets.
- E-commerce & Omni-channel: Scale online business via own site and marketplaces; build a seamless omni-channel journey to enhance conversion and retention.
- Sales Performance: Lead sales targets and team performance across channels; foster a high-performance culture with KPIs and coaching.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate and work closely with HR, Finance, Production, Design, Merchandising, Business Development, Supply Chain, and Marketing for smooth business operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience: 15+ years in retail/fashion/lifestyle/luxury/consumer brands; 5+ years in a senior P&L role.
- Proven success scaling retail or consumer brand businesses above 200 crore revenue.
- Strengths: Deep knowledge of multi-store operations, e-commerce growth, and omnichannel retail.
- Experience in national expansion, airport retail, and premium customer experience.
- Skills: Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and team leadership.
- Education: MBA preferred; relevant bachelors degree in business or retail or fashion.
