Transportation Head_ Bangalore

Currently we are hiring as Transportation Head.

Job Location: Bangalore

Industry: FMCG/ Foods/ Beverages.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport Strategy & Execution:

- Develop and implement national transport strategies aligning with business goals.

- Ensure optimal fleet utilization, route planning, and cost-effective transportation solutions.

Process Improvement:

- Improve the indenting process to enhance service levels and reduce lead times.

- Establish logistics control points at manufacturing sites for better visibility and control.

Vendor Management:

- Liaison with transporters for movement of FG, RM, and PM.

- Execute long-term strategic contracts with logistics partners.

- Lead RFQ processes to ensure cost competitiveness and service excellence.

Digital Supply Chain:

- Drive digitization through deployment and optimization of TMS, WMS, and other logistics technologies.

- Leverage data for performance analytics and continuous improvement.

Team Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing transport and logistics team.

- Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and collaboration.

Performance Management:

- Ensure delivery volumes are met with minimum transportation cost.

- Monitor and improve key KPIs including OTIF, cost per case/km, and damage reduction.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.

- 7-12 years of relevant experience in FMCG logistics or 3PL management.

- Proven track record of leading large-scale transport operations.

- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.

- Proficiency in transport and warehouse management systems (TMS/WMS).

- Analytical mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
