Head - Supply Chain Manager
We are seeking a Head of Supply Chain to lead a SOONICORN sourcing and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Optimization:
- Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies to improve operational efficiency and minimize costs.
- Analyse current processes and implement optimization initiatives across sourcing, production, warehousing, and distribution.
Logistics & Distribution Management:
- Oversee logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and last-mile delivery to ensure timely distribution.
- Implement strategies to optimize delivery routes and minimize transportation costs.
Inventory & Demand Planning:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand accurately and align inventory levels to prevent overstock or stockouts.
- Utilize inventory management systems to monitor stock levels and drive efficient inventory turnover.
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable contracts and ensure a reliable supply of printing materials.
- Evaluate suppliers regularly to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
Process Improvement & Technology Integration:
- Leverage automation, AI, and analytics to enhance supply chain processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure seamless integration of ERP and supply chain management software into operations.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop effective contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Actively monitor supply chain costs, identifying areas for savings and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.
- Develop and manage department budgets, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate effectively with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment of supply chain strategies with business objectives.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and communication across departments.
Sustainability Initiatives:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainable sourcing and distribution practices.
- Drive initiatives aimed at minimizing waste and reducing the environmental impact of operations.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
- Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Post graduate qualifications specializing in Operations & Supply Chain from Premier Institutions such as Premier B-school with 12+ years of directly relevant work experience.
- 12+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on sourcing and distribution.
- Experience across FMCG or E-Commerce preferred.
- Proven working experience in pan-India demand planning, procurement, warehousing and logistics management
- Proven experience in supply chain P&L management.
- Proven experience in sourcing, negotiation, vendor and project management
