Head: Business Development Travel Cards

Role Overview

Lead Wizz's national strategy and execution for the Forex Travel Card business across Agency, Corporate, B2C, and

B2B2C segments. The role blends strategic vision with operational excellence and market acumen in prepaid FX

products to drive profitable growth and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

- Develop and implement annual and quarterly sales plans for the Travel Card portfolio, aligned with company volume, revenue, and profit targets.

- Analyze market trends and competitive benchmarks to refine go-to-market strategy.

- Manage sales forecasting, pipeline, and performance reporting for all channels.

Team Leadership

- Build and manage high-performing sales teams across geographies and segments.

- Set KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching and training.

- Foster a goal-driven, collaborative, and accountable team culture.

Client & Partner Engagement

- Cultivate and expand relationships with key accounts, institutional clients, and distribution partners.

- Negotiate and close high-value contracts, creating bespoke value offers for each segment.

- Represent the organization at client meetings, corporate forums, and partner conferences.

Product Positioning & Marketing Collaboration

- Work with product and marketing teams to define and sharpen the Travel Card value proposition.

- Provide customer and market insights to inform product enhancements and marketing initiatives.

- Support development of sales collateral, digital content, and targeted campaigns.

Portfolio Expansion & Strategic Alliances

- Identify new business opportunities (sectors, alliances, partnerships) to diversify growth avenues.

- Evaluate and drive partnership opportunities to extend reach, distribution, or co-marketing.

- Lead launch initiatives for new products or features.

Operational Oversight & Compliance

- Oversee channel training, process improvement, and implementation of sales best practices.

- Ensure all activities adhere to regulatory compliance, KYC, and operational risk policies.

- Monitor the sales lifecycle, customer journey, and complaint redressal for quality control.

Channel & Partnership Management

Agency Channel

- Identify, on-board, and activate a network of agency partners pan-India.

- Design performance-linked incentive schemes to drive new issuance and card activation.

- Monitor partner contribution, adherence to KYC, and operational standards.

Corporate Channel

- Target and win large corporate accounts across diverse sectors (e.g., FMCG, IT, BFSI, logistics).

- Develop and propose custom prepaid travel card solutions for HR, finance, and procurement functions.

- Represent Wizz at corporate procurement events, conclaves, and summits.

B2C Channel

- Design and execute consumer acquisition strategies, leveraging digital campaigns and affiliate

marketing.

- Collaborate with product and marketing on offers, loyalty, and cardholder benefits.

- Track the consumer sales funnel, optimize conversion, and ensure ongoing usage and retention.

B2B2C Channel

- Identify and establish partnerships with relevant platforms (e.g., EduTech, travel aggregators, neo-banks).

- Structure commercial/compliance models for embedded or co-branded travel card issuance.

- Lead technical and process integration with partners for seamless onboarding.

Fintech Associations and Ecosystem Engagement

- Forge connections with fintech associations, accelerators, and incubator programs.

- Represent Wizz in industry, regulatory, and networking forums.

- Co-create thought leadership, content, and go-to-market (GTM) initiatives with ecosystem partners.

Qualifications & Experience

- Experience: 810 years in sales leadership roles, preferably focused on Forex, Travel Cards, or prepaid financial products.

- Sales Track Record: Demonstrated achievement in corporate/institutional sales and channel development (agency, corporate, B2C/B2B2C).

- Market Insight: Strong knowledge of FX markets, travel industry trends, and multi-segment customer needs.

Skills

- Strategic planning, target-driven sales management, and analytics.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.


- Experience with incentive design, team coaching, and compliance implementation.

- Education: Postgraduate or MBA preferred; relevant certifications in banking, FX, or payments are a plus.

Performance Metrics

- Achievement of sales volume, revenue, and profitability targets for Travel Card portfolio.

- Growth in market share across channels and segments.

- Successful onboarding and activation of new agents, corporates, and platform partners.

- High client satisfaction scores and retention rates.

- Compliance audit scores and operational efficiency metrics.
