Job Summary:

The National Sales Head will be responsible for driving the sales strategy, performance, and growth across multiple regions within the country. This leadership position requires overseeing the sales team, managing key accounts, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets in line with the companys objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading large, high-performing sales teams, excellent strategic planning abilities, and a deep understanding of the local market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement the national sales strategy to achieve overall business goals, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a nationwide team of sales professionals to achieve both individual and collective sales targets.

- Sales Performance: Monitor and evaluate sales performance, ensuring KPIs are consistently met across regions. Take corrective actions as necessary to drive performance.

- Market Penetration: Identify and develop new business opportunities, expanding market reach and building strong relationships with key customers and partners.

- Account Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with major clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.

- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the sales budget for the country, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and controlling sales-related expenses.

- Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasting and regular reports to senior management, detailing progress against targets and identifying areas for improvement.

- Training & Development: Provide training and development programs for the sales team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and other teams to ensure alignment on strategies and support the development of promotional campaigns, product launches, etc.

Key Requirements:

- Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in sales management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a [specific industry, e.g., FMCG, technology, etc.].

- Proven Leadership: Strong track record of leading high-performing sales teams and achieving national sales targets.

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, analyze market trends, and formulate actionable plans to drive sales growth across diverse regions.

- Customer-Focused: Exceptional relationship-building skills with a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.

- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions and improve sales performance.

- Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across the country as needed.

Desirable Skills:

- Expertise in digital sales and marketing tools.

- Experience in managing sales in a multi-region or pan-India context.

- Knowledge of CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).

Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Business, Civil Engineering, or a related field

- MBA in Sales & Marketing (preferred)

- Proven experience in handling large territories with diverse markets
