Job Description:
- The Head of Retail Operations will be responsible for driving the overall performance, profitability, and growth of the retail business.
- This role involves leading franchise operations, identifying new properties for store expansion, ensuring operational excellence, and building a high-performing retail team.
- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in retail management, franchise relations, property negotiations, and market analysis.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Franchise & Store Expansion:
- Identify and evaluate potential properties/locations for new stores.
- Manage franchise operations, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Negotiate and finalize property lease agreements and franchise contracts.
Retail Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day retail operations across all stores.
- Implement operational policies, SOPs, and compliance standards.
- Monitor store performance, sales, and profitability.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage regional/store managers and retail teams.
- Drive training and development programs to enhance performance.
- Foster a customer-centric culture across retail outlets.
Market Analysis & Strategy:
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and trends.
- Develop and execute retail expansion strategies to maximize market share.
- Monitor competitor activities and suggest innovative solutions.
Financial & Performance Management:
- Drive revenue growth, cost optimization, and profitability.
- Set performance benchmarks and regularly review KPIs.
- Prepare and present business performance reports to management.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in retail operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in franchise management and property acquisition.
- Proven ability in team handling, business expansion, and operational excellence.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in franchise and company-owned retail models.
- Strong understanding of retail market trends and customer behavior.
- Ability to drive multi-location operations with efficiency.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and retail management tools
