The HOD role of the R&D Department is responsible for leading and managing all research and development activities within the organization.

- Responsible for leading and managing all NPD design and development activities as per an annual business plan.

- It involves setting strategic direction, managing resources, fostering design innovation.

- Managing the end-to-end process, ensuring the successful execution and launching of planned R&D projects.

- Product improvements of existing products.

- New vendor development for new Raw materials, processes and technology.

- Technology road mapping.

- R&D projects reporting.

- Team development, knowledge transfer and training.

Specific Role Requirement:

- KBI, KDI & KRA Achievement

- Management of dept. meeting/Interdepartmental meetings.

- Product Designing & Prototyping

- Preliminary Product Concept

- Technical benchmark study

- Patent / IPR Study (if available)

- Primary desired features Study & DFMEA

- Product Design - 3D Modeling using CAD Tools

- Product Costing and Design BOM

- Feasibility Studies, Make & buy decision

- Design verification

- Semi final product concept

- BOM Costing

- Proposed Infrastructure required, Semi final product concept

- CFT NPD Final Design Approval
