Head - Production - Vegetables

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive production strategy for vegetable seed production, aligning with the overall seed supply roadmap.

Operations Management:

- Oversee the entire seed supply chain, from production and processing to packing and logistics, to ensure efficient and timely delivery of seeds.

Team Leadership:

- Manage and develop a team of home farm managers and regional production managers, ensuring they meet production targets and adhere to management principles.

Quality Assurance:

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), develop monitoring mechanisms, and implement continuous improvement processes to maintain high seed quality standards.

Agronomic Expertise:

- Apply deep knowledge of vegetable crop biology, pollination techniques (including supplemental pollination), and specialized seed treatments to induce flowering and improve seed set.

Budget and Cost Control:

- Develop and manage production budgets (OPEX and CAPEX) and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Research, Sales, Quality, and Finance to achieve strategic goals.

Innovation and Technology:

- Drive innovation in seed production by incorporating new technologies and best practices to enhance plant vigor, disease resistance, and overall crop yield.

Stakeholder Management:

- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including farmers, growers, and vendors, to ensure the successful execution of production plans.
