Roles & Responsibilities :
- Primary Focus : Product Development, Strategy and lifecycle
- Key Objectives : Develop and launch successful products
- Team Management : Leads NPD/ R&D / Design / Engineering Teams & Product Teams
- Strategic Focus : Long term product vision and road map
- Key Activities : Product Strategy, road map planning, feature prioritization, product lifecycle Mgt.
- Market Analysis : Broader product market, competitive products, market trends, Future Vision - Technology / Design approach
- Customer Interaction : Indirectly through market research, product feedback, usage data and design agencies
- Supplier / Vendor interaction : Less frequent, related to product development tools and technology
- Cross Functional Collaboration : Engineering, design, marketing, sales & R&D
- Metrics : Product adoption, usage, customer satisfaction, revenue growth
- Required Skills : Product Strategy, market research, product development, leadership, communication and design orientation
- Ownership : Owns the overall vision and success of a product. Owns the orgn. vision of future and drives product innovation. Introduction in line with the vision and timely readiness of products as per requirement
- Innovation : Drives Product level innovation in design technology
- Pricing : Focuses on pricing related to product value and differentiation
- Market Intelligence and Benchmarking : Conduct competitor analysis to stay updated on market trends, features, pricing, warranty, and specifications.
- Need Gap Analysis and Product Road mapping : Identify market gaps, customer needs, and areas for product improvement to inform new product development and product enhancements.
New Product Development (NPD) :
(a) Co-ordination with sourcing team for NPD spec & Co-ordination with QC for validation
(b) Define product requirements, specifications, and design criteria
(c) Sample management
- Cross - functional Leadership : Collaborate with cross teams - R&D, Design, Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales) to drive NPD Projects from concept to launch
Product Launch and market support :
(a) Product launch preparation : Provide product details to the marketing team to obtain packaging artworks, launch notes, catalogues, and other collateral
(b) Artwork verification : Verify all artworks before sharing
Sales Support and Enablement
(a) Sales training and Enablement : Equip sales teams with Product knowledge, training, and materials to effectively sell kitchen appliances.
(b) Sales Support : Attend customer meetings, address questions and concerns and provide updates on stock availability and MRP stickers
Operational and Administrative Responsibilities
(a) EAN Code Creation : Create and manage EAN codes (barcodes) on the GS1 Data Kart portal
(b) Material code creation : Create material codes for new products in SAP and co-ordinate with the IT team for system update
(c) E-commerce and website Listings : Ensure accurate and up-to-date product listings on e-commerce platforms and the company website.
(d) Ensuring with Sourcing team for FG materials in warding at our warehouse location.
