Head - Procurement - Sheeting Business

Our sheeting business is known for high-quality manufacturing and process excellence. We are looking for an experienced Functional Head - Procurement to lead the Procurement in the sheeting division at our plant.

The role holder is responsible for leading and overseeing the operational aspects of the procurement function within an organization. The role holder is also responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement processes to support the organization's goals.

Strategy Providing direction to achieve the desired long-term and short-term

Objectives:

- Develop and implement long-term cost reduction strategies for both raw materials and outsourcing, aligning with overall company goals.

- Explore opportunities for strategic partnerships, global sourcing, or supplier consolidation to optimize costs.

- Cultivate strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure a stable and dependable supply chain.

- Collaborate with suppliers on joint initiatives to improve quality, reduce lead times, and enhance overall performance.

- Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement, such as supply chain disruptions, quality

issues, or geopolitical factors.

- Develop contingency plans and diversify supplier sources to minimize risk exposure.

Operations Executing the strategies to achieve the business goals:

- Monitor and control the cost of raw materials (RM) as a percentage of revenue, specifically for yarn and outsourcing.

- Implement cost reduction strategies such as negotiations, bulk purchases, or alternative sourcing to optimize RM costs while maintaining quality.

- Implement inventory management systems and just-in-time principles to reduce carrying costs while ensuring materials are readily available when needed.

- Establish a supplier rating system that considers factors like quality, reliability, cost, and responsiveness.
