EXPERIENCE RANGE Post qualification experience of 20-25 years in Investment Banking
CRITICAL EXPERIENCE 20-25 years in private equity, investment banking, or M&A advisory, with a strong focus on sell-side transactions.
- Demonstrated success in closing complex mid-to-large market deals (INR 200+ CR up to 1000+ CR)
- Complete knowledge on Investment Banking Verticals (ECM, M&A, PE, Debt Syndication & Advisory Group, DCM)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS MBA - Finance / CA / CFA level 3
CTC (Per Annum) Commensurate with experience
Job Responsibilities
- End-to-end management of private equity sell-side mandates, including asset sales, portfolio exits, GP-led secondary processes, and structured transactions.
- Serve as the lead advisor to private equity clients and portfolio companies during the sale process, offering strategic insight and deal structuring expertise.
- Oversee the preparation of transaction materials (IMs, teasers, process letters), buyer list development, data room setup, and due diligence coordination.
- Mentor a team of PE execution professionals (associates, analysts, and AVP/DVPs) to ensure timely and high-quality execution of all phases of the transaction.
- Engage with a wide network of strategic and financial buyers (domestic and international); maintain strong relationships to drive buyer participation and competitive tension.
- Monitor market trends, valuation metrics, and M&A activity within relevant sectors to provide timely and data-driven advice.
- Ensure all transactions comply with legal, regulatory, and internal compliance standards.
- Responsible for the Business Development Groups annual business target achievement.
- Responsible for the Teams performance towards M&A, Private Equity/ Venture Capital, Advisory, Corporate Finance, Corporate Advisory sourcing to on-boarding.
- Evaluates existing partnerships and sales efforts by the Business Development team. Ensures team maintains relationships with customers for repeat business. Oversees key client relationships and works to build new ones,
- Expand the profile and reach of the company.
- Develop and strengthen internal and external relationships to increase lead generation and market share. Build cross- functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long- term growth.
- Track emerging markets and trends, Propose and develop strategic partnerships.
- Fulfil requests for proposals (RFPS) from potential partners and customers.
- Evaluate existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn't.
- Attend and participate in client meetings along with the team member and contribute to building and maintaining client relationships
