
Position: Plant HR Head
Location: Budhni, Madhya Pradesh
Function: Human Resources Manufacturing / Industrial Relations
Reporting To: CHRO / Business Head
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Plant HR Head to lead the HR function at our manufacturing facility in Budhni. The role requires a strong focus on Industrial Relations (IR), labour management, shop floor engagement, compliance, and employee discipline while supporting the business with people-driven strategies that foster a productive and harmonious work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations & Labour Management:
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations within the plant.
- Handle union negotiations, wage settlements, and long-term agreements.
- Build strong relationships with workmen, unions, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely resolution of grievances and disputes, ensuring minimal disruption.
Compliance & Legal:
- Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable labour laws (Factories Act, ID Act, Payment of Wages, etc.).
- Handle inspections from statutory authorities and ensure zero non-compliance.
- Maintain records as per statutory requirements and internal audits.
Shop Floor HR & Engagement:
- Ensure consistent presence on the shop floor to foster a positive working environment.
- Address day-to-day employee issues and ensure effective communication channels.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and morale-boosting activities for the workforce.
HR Operations:
- Manage recruitment and onboarding of blue-collar workforce
- Maintain accurate manpower planning and productivity metrics.
- Oversee time office, attendance, and wage administration systems.
Discipline & Administration:
- Ensure adherence to code of conduct and handle disciplinary cases as per standing orders.
- Lead domestic enquiries and disciplinary proceedings, if required.
- Liaise with legal teams for labour litigation and represent management as needed.
Key Requirements:
- MBA/PGDHRM/MSW or equivalent in HR/IR from a reputed institute.
- 12 to 18 years of experience in manufacturing setups, with at least 5+ years in a plant HR leadership role.
- Strong exposure to labour laws, union handling, and shop floor HR.
- Fluent in Hindi and English; knowledge of local language is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
