Job Objective & Key Interactions

Production Management:

- Lead and oversee the entire production lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, operational e- ciency, and cost-e- ectiveness.

- Develop and implement robust manufacturing strategies that enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and reduce waste while maintaining the highest quality standards.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and automation technologies.

- Oversee production scheduling, forecasting, and capacity planning to align with business demands while ensuring minimal downtime and e- cient resource utilisation.

- Maintain compliance with industry regulations, quality assurance standards, and safety protocols across all production facilities.

- Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and innovation within production teams to drive long-term improvements and competitiveness.

Logistics & Distribution:

- Oversee logistics operations, ensuring timely, cost-e- cient, and reliable delivery of products to customers and business partners.

- Design and implement strategic initiatives to optimise transportation management, streamline route planning, and reduce freight costs.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers,

- transportation partners, and internal supply chain teams to enhance operational e- ciencies.

- Ensure seamless coordination across global and domestic distribution networks, minimising lead Mmes and maximising customer satisfaction.

- Leverage advanced logistics technologies, automation, and real-Mme tracking tools to enhance visibility and e- ciency within the distribution network.

Supply Chain Management (SCM):

- Lead and optimise end-to-end supply chain strategies, ensuring seamless integration from procurement to final product delivery.

- Establish robust supplier relationships and develop resilient sourcing strategies that enhance cost-e- ectiveness and supply chain agility.

- Utilise data-driven insights to improve demand planning, inventory control, and supply chain forecasting to mitigate risks and optimise costs.

- Implement lean methodologies and cutting-edge technologies to enhance

- operational performance, reduce lead Mmes, and elevate service levels.

- Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to address supply chain disruptions and market volatility.

Warehouse Management:

- Oversee warehouse operations to ensure optimal inventory management, space utilisation, and order fulfilment e- ciency.

- Drive the implementation of warehouse automation systems and best practices in inventory control to improve accuracy and e- ciency.

- Optimise warehouse layout and storage solutions to enhance space utilisation while reducing inventory carrying costs.

- Manage labour allocation, resource planning, and operational workflows to handle fluctuating demand e- ectively.

- Foster a high-performance warehouse culture emphasising teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:

- Develop and execute a strategic sourcing framework that ensures cost-e- ective procurement while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.

- Identify and onboard reliable suppliers, negotiate favourable contracts, and manage long-term supplier relationships.

- Align sourcing decisions with production schedules, new product development

- timelines and business growth objectives.

- Monitor supplier performance through rigorous assessments, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in the procurement process.

- Implement sustainable sourcing practices that drive corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability.

- Ensure spares continuity and supply for Sales and After Sales team across geographies

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS):

- Establish and enforce robust EHS policies, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements across all operational sites.

- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and compliance checks to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

- Lead initiatives to cultivate a safety-first culture, incorporating comprehensive

- training programs and emergency response protocols.

- Implement sustainability measures such as waste reduction programs, energy-e- cient practices, and environmentally responsible manufacturing processes.- Drive EHS reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement measures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment



Skills / Knowledge / Certifications

- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential

- Professional global certifications relevant to the role from well-regarded Institutes of repute / associations or equivalent

Education and Experience

- PG Diploma in Management or Masters in Technology /Engineering or equivalent from well-regarded Institutes / Universities only with minimum 15+ years of working experience within manufacturing industry, preferably B2C2D / OEM / Spare Parts.

- Having experience of working with global organizations and handled multiple geographies or done secondment in other countries / geographies will be an advantage (As Client is growing massively in other geographies outside of India)

- Should have prior experience of working with Promoter / Founder driven organizations and handled scalability as a strategic leader or as part of the founding / key leadership team

- Have experience of working with Startups / fast paced growing organizations

- In-depth expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Advanced problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.

- Extensive knowledge of supply chain logistics, inventory management, and procurement strategies.

- Ability to drive cost optimisation while upholding quality and regulatory compliance.

- Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and cross-functional communication skills.

- Commitment to safety, sustainability, and ethical business practices.

- Ensuring adherence to processes and e- ective usage of ERP and other manufacturing tools for supporting strong controls and compliance

- Developing strong teams and developing talent for the future

Non-Negotiable (Mandatory skill sets / experience etc)

Candidate should have worked either with the Start-Ups or having experience of working / setting up the Green / Brown fields projects or working / worked as successor to the Operations Head for atleast 1-2 years. Prior experience of strategic business planning at Corporate within the growing manufacturing product-based organizations of repute.
