HEAD OPERATIONS

An Operations Head in the aviation support industry oversees and manages all operational aspects of an aviation support company, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulations. This includes managing teams, developing and implementing operational procedures, coordinating with various departments, and monitoring performance metrics. Key responsibilities also involve crisis management, budget management, and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities :

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP:

- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's overall goals.

- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

- Lead and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.

OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT:

- Oversee daily operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with aviation regulations.

- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and protocols.

- Coordinate with various departments (e.g., flight operations, ground operations, maintenance) to optimize resource allocation and streamline workflows.

- Manage and resolve operational issues, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and effective solutions.

- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

REGULATORYT COMPLIANCE:

- Ensure all operations comply with aviation regulations and safety standards.

- Collaborate with the regulatory affairs team to maintain compliance and address any regulatory changes.

- Coordinate with regulatory bodies for audits, inspections, and responses.

Budget Management:

- Prepare and manage operational budgets.

- Monitor and control expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.

COMMUNICATION & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT:

- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

- Liaise with industry partners and maintain positive relationships.

Performance Management:

- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

CRISIS MANAGEMENT :

- Develop and implement crisis management plans.

- Manage operational disruptions and emergencies effectively.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proven experience in aviation operations management.

- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Proficiency in relevant aviation software and technology.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Bachelor's degree in aviation management or related field (or equivalent experience).

- 15+ years of experience in this field.
