We are looking for an MBA professional for the role of 'Head of Operations' for one of our clients into Agritech industry.
Location: Mohali
Reports to: CEO
Mode of work: Work from Office
Preferred Industry: Marketplace, EdTech, FinTech or Similar Industry.
Preferably someone from a Technology Driven company (AI/SAAS/ IOT based) who has managed entire business operations of a start up and contributed significantly in the growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
CEO Support & Executive Operations
- Act as the CEO's right-hand, managing daily operational tasks to allow the CEO to focus on strategic priorities.
- Facilitate team reviews, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering a culture of accountability.
- Drive follow-through on execution tasks, ensuring timely delivery of CEO-assigned initiatives.
- Prepare high-level reports, presentations, and actionable insights for the CEO and leadership team Business Vertical Enablement
- Collaborate with Heads of Business Units to identify resource and operational gaps and proactively solve them.
- Monitor performance metrics, KPIs, and project health across all verticals and recommend course corrections.
- Enable verticals with finance, HR, legal, and operational inputs to scale delivery and execution.
- Provide financial insights to vertical heads to support data-driven decision-making.
Program & Project Management
- Plan, track, and oversee multiple strategic and operational projects with cross-functional interdependencies.
- Set up standardized execution frameworks using tools for efficient project planning and visibility.
- Own the project delivery calendars and ensure accountability from all stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts to optimize cost and quality.
- Implement vendor performance evaluation systems to ensure reliability and compliance
Vendor & Supply Chain Oversight
- Manage strategic and operational vendor relationships including contract execution, negotiation, onboarding, and performance tracking.
- Oversee the procurement and operational supply chain for hardware, lab services, and deployment material across India and global geographies. Indian and International Operations
- Support international market expansion by developing operational strategies for new regions.
- Lead international entity setup processes, logistics planning, and partner coordination in alignment with business goals.
- Manage cross-border operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and market dynamics.
- Conduct, present and map research and analysis to identify opportunities and risks in global markets.
- Build partnerships and networks to facilitate smooth entry and operations in international markets.
Financial and Resource Oversight
- Work with finance teams to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for verticals.
- Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining quality and operational standards.
- Ensure local compliance, taxation, vendor management, and import/export operations for international projects.
Key Attributes & Qualifications
Professional Experience
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in operations, business management, or a related field in a scaled up environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role working closely with a CEO in a startup or scaled organization.
- Proven experience working directly with a CEO or CXO team, managing strategic programs, and enabling execution at a high-growth company.
- Exposure to Fintech, marketplace, or SaaS companies or a combination, will be a strong advantage.
Exposures
- Proven experience in international market expansion and cross-border operations, including familiarity with regulatory and cultural nuances.
- Demonstrated experience in enabling international operations in scaled up startups, particularly in emerging markets like the Middle East, North American, or African markets
- Familiarity with cross-border compliance, export-import, entity incorporation, and global vendor management.

- Operational Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage supply chains, vendor relationships, and IP portfolios in a fast-paced environment.
- Project Management: Expertise in leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects with a track record of delivering on time and within budget.
