Key Responsibilities:1.
M&A Strategy Development:- Lead the formulation and execution of the M&A strategy in alignment with the company's long-term business goals.
- Identify potential acquisition targets and assess strategic fit with existing businesses across key manufacturing verticals.
2.
Deal Sourcing & Evaluation:- Source and evaluate acquisition opportunities across India, particularly in the South, leveraging industry networks and market intelligence.
- Conduct in-depth financial, operational, and strategic due diligence on target companies.
3.
Negotiation & Deal Structuring:- Lead negotiations for the acquisition of companies, ensuring optimal terms and alignment with organizational goals.
- Structure deals to maximize value while managing risk, with a focus on both financial and operational synergies.
4.
Integration Planning & Execution:- Oversee the seamless integration of acquired companies, ensuring alignment with corporate culture, systems, and processes.
- Work cross-functionally with senior management to ensure post-acquisition synergies are realized and integration milestones are met.
5.
Stakeholder Management:- Engage with key internal stakeholders, including senior leadership and business unit heads, to ensure alignment on acquisition strategies and objectives.
- Manage relationships with external advisors, investment bankers, legal counsel, and other third-party partners.
6.
Market Intelligence & Trends:- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor movements to inform M&A strategy.
- Provide leadership with insights on potential market shifts, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities.
7.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing M&A team to execute the strategic vision and deliver on acquisition goals.
- Mentor and develop team members to create a sustainable M&A capability within the organization.
Key Requirements:- Experience: At least 18-25 years of experience in M&A, with a proven track record in executing large, complex deals in the manufacturing sector. Experience in handling inorganic growth strategies across the globe.
- Education: MBA or equivalent from a top-tier institution, preferably with a background in finance, strategy, or business management.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the manufacturing landscape in India, including key players, market dynamics, regulatory environment, and growth opportunities.
- Skills:
- Deep expertise in deal sourcing, financial modelling, due diligence, and deal negotiation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders.
- High level of analytical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making.
- Travel: Frequent travel across India and potentially international markets as required.
